New report by industry consultant shows smart meter RF conducted on household wiring. Links to report and hopefully video below from Michele Hertz: In 2009, when I first learned that I had been injured by the radiation emissions from "smart" AMR meters, I began to research, document and report about these meters. It seemed to me that there was something terribly wrong with the meters but at the time, I had no idea what it was. My research led me to 2 amazing scientists who both told me about the switch mode power supply in smart meters and that it was contaminating the wiring with pulsed RF radiation. It made sense, especially because one of the meters I was exposed to was 150 feet away from my house. Dr. Milham was one of the scientists I spoke to. The other one does not discuss this publicly so I am respecting his privacy. Since that time Stop Smart Meters NY, my group in NY, hired an RF engineer to investigate the RF on the wiring from smart meters. We actually hired a true but very honorable industry expert. With this expert we investigated the conducted RF radiation from smart meters. He used special equipment and he found that the very specific pulsed RF/MW radiation from the smart meter was conducting on to the electrical wiring in the home we measured. Here is the report and please see the last page to learn how stupid the FCC part 15 testing was for these meters. http://stopsmartmetersny.org/images/Report_on_Examination_of_Selected_Sources_of_Electromagnetic_Fields_at_Selected_Residences_20140301.pdf Basically, the untested electronic components, inside these faulty meters, are conducting a range of extreme pulsed RF frequencies and contaminating whole electrical distribution systems in homes and building and turning home/building wiring (and other metal conductors) into giant pulsed RF and microwave transmitters! Entire Comment from Kit Weaver is attached as PDF. Excerpt below on recently released SCENIHR Report: These criteria are inconsistent with a review that is titled `Possible Effects?. Further, the approach in judging the emerging evidence is inconsistent with the charter of the Scientific Committee to give advice needed for `consumer safety, public health and the environment on new or emerging problems.? Some statements acknowledge important new evidence of effect; yet then shift the burden of proof to a higher level requiring that adverse health effect, a known mechanism, a causal level of evidence be conclusively demonstrated, or physical evidence of harm be demonstrated. There is nothing in the report that says the authors were directed to provide proof of effect (or consistent indications, or consistent demonstration of effect; or consistent support for, or certainty of effects) at levels below ICNIRP limits. With the same flawed approach in drawing conclusions from emerging science as demonstrated by the SCENIHR, hardly any environmental or occupational condition would be qualified as an emerging or newly identified health risk. ? There is a serious consequence which comes from dismissing effects linking EMF/RFR exposures reported in scientific studies to an `all or none? finding by using embedded criteria that demand `causal? or `conclusive? or `definitive? or `consistent demonstration of effect?. It is clear that such erasing possible impacts of great global health consequence will chill public health responses that would otherwise occur if the correct standards for judging the evidence were used in this Opinion. Public health activities hinge on not causality but sufficiency of evidence to warrant a proportionate preventative action in line with established precautionary principles. This draft Opinion provides no guidance in this area.? [emphasis added]

Subject: DOI Cites FCC EMR Guidelines as Outdated and Inapplicable: Letter from Dept of Interior to National Telecommunications and Information Administration (1) Feb 7th, 2014 One thing is clear from the EMF bird study below: The Department of the Interior really criticized the FCC EMR guidelines which CMP, Texas, VT and many others continue to cite in their echo chamber of errors. If we say it enough times, it must be so, science be damned. However, the electromagnetic radiation standards used by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) continue to be based on thermal heating, a criterion now nearly 30 years out of date and inapplicable today. For a federal agency to say something that harsh about another federal agency is shocking. Will PUC?s listen? It is not just independent scientists saying this. (1)The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), located within the Department of Commerce, is the Executive Branch agency that is principally responsible by law for advising the President on telecommunications and information policy issues. See letter at this link and attached as a PDF in Enclosure A. http://www.ntia.doc.gov/files/ntia/us_doi_comments.pdf The second significant issue associated with communication towers involves impacts from non- ionizing electromagnetic radiation emitted by these structures... However, the electromagnetic radiation standards used by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) continue to be based on thermal heating, a criterion now nearly 30 years out of date and inapplicable today. This is primarily due to the lower levels of radiation output from microwave-powered communication devices such as cellular telephones and other sources of point-to-point communications; levels typically lower than from microwave ovens. The problem, however, appears to focus on very low levels of non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation.

Yet another study from a very reliable source reaching the same conclusion about mobile phones: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/10636197/Mobile-phones-pose-no-health-risk-according-to-report.html This UK agency even assures, through an independent committee, that there is no "industry influence" on the agency's studies. There has yet to be a single government study anywhere in the world finding that smart meters or long-term cell phone use is harmful. Will Maine be the first?
