I live in a trailer and my Winter electric bill has always been 120.00. Then after we had the outages back in 10/2017, my bill went to 300.00 or more and nothing had changed. I made several complaints to CMP, they said something must have changed and there was nothing they could do. CMP had said that anyone who thought their bill was wrong could pay like 25% of their bill or something like that. When I asked about that they said I could not do that. So I would pay what my bill should have been and then an extra 100.00 to 150.00 a month. I have seizures that are triggered by stress so June of 2019 I got a huge bill and CMP just kept blaming me for the high bill. I got a disconnection notice and was stressed out trying to figure how I was going to pay for it. I ended up having 2 seizures, one right after another. Even in the summer my bill was running 300.00 or more. I have no heat running, no dryer running nothing different from 2017 or 2016 when my summer bill was running 50.00 and winter bill was maybe 100 to 120.00 a month. I know that the independent company said that maybe some of the meters were not working right and there were some billing errors. If there was supposed to be only a few of these issues then why was there so many complaints with the same issues. CMP got away with over billing their customers. The customers never got anything resolved and continue to be over billed. The people in Maine are hardworking people and do not deserve to be treated the way they have been by CMP. Do we want to pay our electric bill or buy food or medicine? Alot of elderly, low income are wondering just that.

I am very concerned about the company's mismanagement, its countless failures and it's continued focus on constructing the corridor to server customer in another state, to the detriment of Maine ratepayer and service. I am also concerned that any project involving infrastructure for non renewable energies is still being discussed. They should be turned down systematically for lying about their environmental impact. I do not want to pay more to help a company that's betting on my future and the future of my children. CMP should be shut down and utilities be owned by the customers. Colin VETTIER

As a resident of Maine, I am shocked at how CMP is pushing this pipeline through our beautiful, untouched areas. This has NO benefit for Maine; only harm. It is my understanding that all of the towns near the path of this proposed line do not want it. Why would anyone want to live near something as harmful as a huge electric corridor. I do not understand how our governor [who I voted for], is for this project. Why? It would spoil everything in its path as it benefits only people from another state. PLEASE do NOT PERMIT this destructive corridor to ruin a large swath across our state.

To whom it concerns, Your recent vote to allow a rate hike for CMP flies in the face of reason and common decency. Why reward a company with such a dismal record of service and management a reward. When workers don't do a good job they get fired or at least are not given raises. You all must be in the pockets of CMP. You need to resign if you cannot be impartial.

We received a disconnection notice from Central Maine Power despite after contacting them and letting them know that my husband had a serious injury and has been out of work since October 25th and we are only able to pay what we can. Our only source of income is my VA comp disability. We've applied for fuel assistance and are waiting to hear back. We don't know what else to do.

I paid the last installment of our payment arrangement in January. My bill shows a zero balance for the payment arrangement, yet another installment was added to my account balance. A screenshot of my bill is attached. If they are making billing mistakes on such a simple matter, what else are they billing incorrectly? In addition, we installed a pellet stove but we are not seeing much difference in our bill. I think my bill may be estimated although it is not marked as such.

CMP does not need a rate increase. They have millions of dollars to spend on ads for the power corridor, so clearly they have too much money. They have done little to upgrade lines so we end up spending twice as much on maintenance and repairing outages. Ratepayers should not have to pay more because of their poor management. They have fought non stop against solar which would cut the costs for all ratepayers. Solar gives its best output when demand is high, feeding excess power back into the grid when it is needed most. This distributed feed reduces the need for expensive grid upgrades. CMP has had massive billing problems. As a customer that had to spend hours on the phone trying to resolve billing errors I can tell you that it wastes CMP time also. They are paying staff needlessly. Given all the overbilling it seems a rate increase is unnecessary. DISMANTAL CMP AND MAKE OUR POWER COMPANY PUBLICLY OWNED. THIS MODEL IS PROVEN TO WORK IN MAINE, PROVIDING BETTER, MORE RELIABLE SERVICE AT LOWER, LOWER LOWER RATES. There is no reason that CMP should charge more than say Kennebunk light and power. They should not be rewarded for subpar service by giving them a rate increase.
