I paid the last installment of our payment arrangement in January. My bill shows a zero balance for the payment arrangement, yet another installment was added to my account balance. A screenshot of my bill is attached. If they are making billing mistakes on such a simple matter, what else are they billing incorrectly? In addition, we installed a pellet stove but we are not seeing much difference in our bill. I think my bill may be estimated although it is not marked as such.

I've been in my home for 26 months. My home is 733sq ft with an extensive renovation to have an efficient home. Plumbing, k1 monitor heat, wood stove, on-demand hot water system, water pump, insulation in the crawl space underneath and most electrical, all new! I spent a month in a motel so all work could be done. All new systems were installed the week of December 17, 2017. The 2 men that worked used a table saw, compressor, which were plugged in, battery operated hand tools and we had 3 ceiling lights to work by. I received my first bill at the end of December and it was $218! I called CMP and was told it must be one of my appliances. I told her that my appliances are new and weren't even installed until the week of December 17th! Her response " I don't know what to tell you, that must be what's happening". When my January 2018 bill came in and totaled $340, I called and asked for prior usage and was told it would be mailed. I did not recieve this document until AprIl, 2019. My bills are outrageous! I did not recieve a bill lower than $200 for many months most were over $300 and calling CMP and being placed on hold and just disconnected or waiting a half to an hour for someone to blame it in something in my house is unacceptable. I do not run A.C. I run fans, but no A.C. how can this be happening? CMP again said something in my house was drawing power but now its my water pumps fault. Forward to winter 2018 NO SPACE HEATERS my bill for November over $200 December over $200, January 2018 my bill was $586!! To end this comment I want to reiterate that I live in a 733sq ft house with all new functions. I have had 2 electricians come out, my plumber, my water pump guy and they have all told me there is nothing wrong. But when I talk to CMP there must be something wrong on my end. I did a breaker check with Darryl, the CMP rep, who had no satisfactory result. For 26 months in a 733sq ft house CMP believes I owe them OVER $5000! FMI call me.

MPUC reliability Case # 2018-00282 Reliability WE NEED reliability. When something is on the verge of breakdown it must be REPLACED not bandaged together in the hope that it will last another day or week. These pictures of poles encroaching or surpassing their lifespan were taken on 12/18/19 on Rawson Ave Camden, Maine. This clearly display's the lack of reliability in CMP's maintenance or replacement out used up and worn out equipment for the sake of profit. Do additional cheaply installed wire anchors sufficient to support a power grid? Perhaps an engineer could determine that, perhaps not. CMP has shown an utter disregard for maintenance and upkeep of its systems to remain reliable. Flawed billing software, malfunctioning "smart" meters, untrimmed tree growth, terrible customer service or any accountability for the billing errors or upkeep or replacement of equipment. All of the funds that should be used for this maintenance have been funneled out of the country into the pockets of foreign entities putting out power grid in grave danger of imminent collapse. This is unacceptable. We need to revoke their right to conduct business in the state of Maine and hold CMP accountable for the erroneous maintenance of our power grid, the unreliability of flawed software, the overbilling of customers, the lack of a minimum of efficient customer service and billing resolution and defective metering issues and last but not the least, for holding the record for number and duration of outages in North America. CMP is unfit to serve in the role that the MPUC has entrusted them with. This is unacceptable. Sincerely, Jeffrey C Stone

REVOKE CMP AUTHORITY This week in a remarkable display of either incompetence or arrogance or both CMP announced a new initiative called "Power On". CMP doesn't need a new initiative or a high paid consultant to change it's behavior towards customers. As always CMP tries to solve problems with propaganda campaigns meant to change public perspective! Any 4th grader can tell CMP what must happen! Just do your job! While lineman get the job done, CMP management just doesn't get it. Who is twisting CMP's arm to continue sending out incorrect bills? CMP needs to do trauma care and wrap a tourniquet around billing. After 2 years there is absolutely no excuse for bills to reach customers with incorrect information. Any smart businessman would have given a directive that NO BILL LEAVES THIS OFFICE UNLESS IT IS 100% CORRECT. CMP misdirects by calling them "glitches" "presentation errors" "fast clocking meters" etc.. Let's face the facts CMP, they are incorrect and it's your fault. That's just one issue that can be solved tomorrow internally and instantly! CMP is unfit to deliver reliable power, unfit in safety, unfit in providing fair and reasonable rates, unfit in courtesy during customer care, unfit to provide actual outage information and restore times. The only thing that works is the lineman! It is time for the MPUC to revoke their license and put it out to bid! Mainers expect reliable power at a fair price and a correct bill!

Yesterday I received a bill that was erroneous! My house is bare bones right now as far as not having any appliances such as water heater or well pump or furnace. We use woodstoves for heating for the most part. For 8 hours a day five days a week I do run a very small space heater in my office. Our usage has not changed , our life styles have not changed in anyway for months.for the previous months to this most current bill our usage averaged at about 644-666kwh for the month, then yesterday on I received a bill for just shy of 1,000 dollars just for this past months use with it saying my house hold somehow used 6,262 kwh for the month.Again I will point out nothing has changed at all in my household.I have had an electrician come out twice now (which is very costly) and both times electrician states all is well on my side.My household switched to analog meter back at the end of July of this year (2019) and since that switch the bill has still been a bit high but somewhat manageable, until yesterday when we received this ridiculous bill.I have called CMP three times now to dispute my bill and have been hung up on three times!!! Not acceptable for a suppose to be professional company , especially when they are literally providing a service that is a "life line"! To add insult to injury I have also had the breakers shut off in 1/3 of my house to avoid high bills and use candles for lighting whenever at all possible, to just be told by cmp it must be an appliance running my bill up to 6,262 kwh this past month, when I have repeatedly reported that I do not have any major appliances at this time.My family hasn't even set up a Christmas tree this year in fear of what would happen to electric bill.I have requested several times for someone to come out and look at my analog meter but CMP refuses to send someone out stating that it is impossible for my meter to go awry. I am honestly at aloss and scared of now losing my home because of not being able to keep up with CMP bills.

Over the weekend of 12/14/19 CMP had 5 contracted bucket trucks parked behind Jackman Town Hall. I am assuming these were prepositioned crews because of the forcasted wind storm in compliance with the stipulation agreement for case# 2019-00047. If this is indeed the reason, I would like to point out the gross waste of resources of that decision. A storm like this certainly warrants one extra bucket truck and crew but 5 is entirely too many for a couple of reasons. First the existing Jackman crew would not be able to efficiently oversee and direct that many crews and secondly it would take a weather event such as the ice storm of 1998 to warrant such a large expenditure of resources. It seems that CMP cannot find middle ground between skeletal resources in the event of a storm and going wildly overboard in deployment of resources. I certainly hope the PUC is not going to allow CMP to raise rates to customers in order to recompense such mismanagement.

A cut ground wire is not safe, it proves lack of maintenance on the part of CMP. A year ago I called and reported this cut grounding wire to CMP. It's located directly across the street from 233 Vaughn St. Portland, ME. Additionally as you can see it has a transformer atop the pole in question and is located less than a block away from Maine Medical Center It has been a year and when I went by on Thursday 11/14/19, I stopped to look and the grounding wire HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. I took these pictures on Thursday 11/14/19 at 3:20 PM This is inexcusable. CMP's right to conduct business in the state of Maine should be revoked. They are not providing safe OR reliable service. This is unacceptable. Sincerely, Jeffrey C Stone
