Islesboro, Maine Email ID: dickdeg71@gmail.com Phone No.: 207 734 6948	2/24/2023	I'm not certain I made it clear in my testimony in the above docket: The reason European, Australian and Novia Scotia electric utilities began to issue TOU rates during the 1960's and continue today, was to encourage off-peak use of electric power, particularly electric thermal storage heating, so as to limit the need for expensive and limited supply of oil and gas necessary for electric peak power generation. The same dilemma we have in Maine now.
