As a quardian, rep payee of my disable daughter, I'm finding increases on all her utility bills, including Versant. She had a bill last month, that was the same kWh as last October and the bill was over 20 dollars more than last October. Now I hear today the electric bill will probably go up $35 more for the average customer if they get the increase they want? That will be increase of least $55 this past year! All utilities have increase this year. Phone/internet, water, sewer, food, direct tv, newspaper, etc. all had significant increase. She just got a write off because of heap, but this is short term and doesn't last all year. Please consider that Maine is one of the highest rates, with other states that get electricity from Maine. They should the one paying more. Please reconsider the electric Companies getting another increase Thank you Sandra Deschaine, quardian/rep. Payee of Kristie Deschaine

Seniors have had so many cuts to benefits! They can't afford anymore! This would burden them to a degree that they will have to choose between medications, food, heat and so on!

I support the Maine Legislature's recommendations and guidance to provide coverage of the real costs for low income customers. Raise the eligibility to 150% of poverty.

Please follow legislative full guidelines to protect those who are in need of electricity assistance. Please protect vulnerable Mainers. I am a registered voter and will vote accordingly against any candidate who does not support and protect Mainers who are in need. Thank you.

This is just an other excuse to let the big companies stick it to the lower class that are struggling extremely hard to make it already. You saying it to hire more workers is a slap in the face.

This program has been essential since I became disabled 5 years ago. I am 65 and my wife and I are on Social Security. The difficult would become the impossible without the help this program provides. Thank You for your assistance and for taking the time to read this.
