All of these bills that are attempting to delay any eminent domain because of these transmission lines are a waste of time. The real bill that should be passed should consider the citizens of Maine voting on such projects going forward, rather than elected officials sliding through such huge rural community changing bills without any citizen vote. I have personally given up the cause on the current northern maine renewable gateway. Even a citizens vote as was done with the last transmission line in western maine was jammed through on court orders even after the people of the state voted that the corridor not go through. Is this democracy? Did the people get what they wanted? Regardless of what the majority requests in this state the representatives, the courts, and the PUC ultimately decide " what's good for us". A citizens vote should be the standing order regardless of any bureaucratic nonsense. Thank you for reading this grammatically incorrect comment.

This law that presents the methods to take private land for the benefit of wind and solar companies will be forever known as the "SELL THE FARM" bill. Imagine, a Democrat controlled Legislature and Executive Departments commanding a Democrat PUC Commission Chairman and a Democrat Public Advocate to ram through a corrupt and illogical project. How can anyone think they have any chance to "SAVE THE FARM" with odds so heavily stacked against them? This is the most disgusting use of power ever inflicted on individual property rights that has ever occurred in the State of Maine. This makes the globalists' edict that "You will own nothing and be happy" a real deal. The worst part is that the money that would be spent to advance this project is not even close to the benefits obtained. A major transmission project of this size to allow wind and solar companies free reign over land in Maine is ridiculous. If this is not an example of embedded corruption taking place within the Maine Government, it surely is a head-scratching development of questionable intentions. This is a purely political move to destroy the fabric of Maine by tossing aside the rule of eminent domain, that traditionally was only used to provide tangible and necessary benefits for public use. In case the entities involved in this fiasco haven't noticed, the case for renewables, such as wind and solar, is undergoing intense scrutiny, as it should. The shocking truth is that the rapid acceleration of electricity costs coincides with the rapid development of renewables. I say, "SAVE THE FARM" and SAVE US FROM FURTHER RATE INCREASES"

Please see attached document with some proposed language changes. Primarily these changes are to ensure this rule can be utilized for both the Northern Maine Renewable Energy Program and also for other high-impact transmission lines.

Eminent Domain should be banned. No government should be allowed to seize private property to give it to a corporation/state agency to build things on the illegally confiscated lands. It's unconstitutional in every sense of the word. Statewide ban on EMINENT DOMAIN..
